Our latest release"Land of the Lost" is officially out in the world!! Recorded/Engineered by the one and only Bryan Nelson at his home studio in Manor Tx.,his encouraging/supportive and talented self suggested that we'd want to do more than one song and he was right. Thank you always for being the magical sound wizard that you are! What started out as just getting one song done for fun during the long hot summer morphed into this and we are eternally grateful. Aside from a remake of "Morning Light" the other 3 songs were simple nuggets just waiting to be filled out. Huge shout out to George Duron for always being a driving force behind us and especially on this EP! Much love and thanks to Jon Sanchez for giving us the perfect high/lonesome sound on "Land of the Lost" and for capturing the essence of a bar piano on "Ode to a Hat" ; the beautiful plaintive fiddle/violin by Jenny De Wulf Smith on "Honey You Can Go"; the warm harmonica by AJ Montrose on "Ode to a Hat" and the tiny little pings of sweetness on clawhammer by Boozer Justice on"Honey You Can Go" all came together. A final shout out to Carl Saff for mastering/smoothing out the wrinkles. Thanks to all that contributed, bringing a bigger sound than we've had in the past and as always, thank you for listening!! We love the way it turned out and hope you do too.

Hey y'all!!! We are so excited about this release!! Recorded here in Austin at King Electric Recording , these four songs have been influenced by all the great music we've been introduced to living here in Texas for well over a decade. Adding to the mix on this EP is a fellow late bloomer and awesome percussionist, AJ Montrose on drums and harmonica and the wonderfully talented Beth Chrisman on two of the tracks playing violin/mandolin/fiddle. Engineered and mixed by Gary Calhoun James and mastered by Carl Saff....we couldn't be happier with the outcome and are truly grateful to all that contributed. We hope these songs conjure up that Texas vibe, with The Ghost of Saint Elmo being a sort of love letter to Austin and her past. Give 'em a spin and put 'em on repeat!! -The Discount Pills
